As promised, my meatball recipe:

Barbecue Meatballs -

1 jar chili sauce
1 can jellied cranberry sauce
1 package frozen meatballs

Pour chili sauce and cranberry sauce into a medium sauce pan. Heat and stir until fully mixed.
Pour sauce into crockpot and add meatballs. Mix sauce over meatballs. Cook on medium for 4-6 hours.

What did the year 1967 hold for Enoch Light's Command Records? We found out tonight on VeeGeePlus. Nathan Parriot joined the show and was quizzed on his newfound exotica knowledge. Also, I swore never to play another song by the Ray Charles Singers, unless I heard a great deal of public outcry convincing me not to, on the basis that they are kind of lame.

Oof, had some issues in the studio tonight. First of all, I was still only rockin' one deck tonight, so I wasn't able to cue the records like I really would like to. Secondly, the deck that was working wasn't grounded, so there was a pretty mean buzzing sound all throughout the show. These records may not all necessarily be VG+, but hot damn, they should be sounding better than they were. I saved some records I'd planned on featuring for next week, when the turntables will surely be all better.

I found some excellent records at the local thrift store, got some on eBay, and found quite a few at the fleamarket in What Cheer this weekend! Will definitely be playing some good stuff this upcoming Sunday. The show before VeeGeePlus, Our Majesty's Hour, will be on vacation this week, so you can look forward to a two-hour version of the show Sunday! The show was a bit tougher tonight, as I only had access to one turn table! Sometimes I nailed the cue, and a few times, I messed up. Oops. Fun show tonight! I tried to wind a little narrative through some of the songs. Little connections. Was that fun for you? The Beetles cover rock block in the middle of the show was fun to put together! I bet I had more around her somewhere, but I got the idea this morning, so I didn't have too much time to find the records in my collection. My girlfriend hates that Tammy Wynette song I played. I was gonna dedicate it to her to give her a bit of grief, but I didn't think it would be a good idea to dedicate a song called DIVORCE to your current girlfriend if you're happy with her, which I definitely am.

Anyways, that is what actually made it on the air. There were a few songs that I messed up on, so hopefully they will make it into future shows. I wish that there was someway for the listeners to see the album art on these albums. Music is an auditory experience, but with vinyl, the other senses come into play as well! Looking at the covers of some of these albums is almost more fun than listening to them. And for some reason, the Elvis album smells like fresh corn. I wonder why that is.
